Information
Data.gov.sg (DGS) is Singapore’s open data sharing platform. We work with government agencies to make their data discoverable, understandable, and useable.
Development
Since 2011
Built for citizens, public officers

Why we built this

Government data is often inaccessible, with businesses, researchers, and the public waiting weeks for data. We built DGS to lower barriers to accurate, usable, and timely data for decision-making at scale.

What we've built

DGS is Singapore’s open government data sharing platform. We are making government data accessible by default, through consistently co-creating valuable data with government agencies. This empowers businesses, researchers, and the public to innovate and make informed decisions.

National datasets made open

Solve problems with Singapore's data. We’ve worked with over 70 government agencies to provide free access to and use of over 5,000 datasets—from weather and housing to transport and the economy.

Reliable APIs that scale

From school projects to nationwide applications, DGS provides real-time APIs to help developers build with confidence.

What’s an api call?

API calls let applications automatically download the latest data from DGS. When you check your weather app, it might make an API call to get the latest forecast from DGS.

Accurate data for real use cases

To ensure data is useful, we’re focused on ensuring that important and relevant datasets are accurate and up to date.

What our users say

Very heartwarming - most for-profit companies don’t even do this (understanding user challenges) and provide this level of reliability.

Changi Airport Group user

Glad that the open data license is very open-ended, and we can use the data for our reporting needs and to improve transparency.
